If you are fretting that your relationship is falling apart at the seams and you guys might break up, than you should continue reading some of my personal answers to common questions askedabout saving a relationship.
Q: I need to keep my relationship from breaking apart, where do I begin?A:
First, you must realize and know for sure that this relationship is important to you. Yoursituation might be different, but most troubled relationshipsconsist of one or both parties takingthe relationship for granted. Not taking the time to simple say " I love you" or going out of yourway to show affection can be the start of your relationship falling apart.
Q: How do I fix my troubled relationship.A:
Blaming your boyfriend isn't going to help the situation. Understanding that you control yourown actions can help you save your relationship. This may not be easy, but ask yourself somedifficult questions. What have you done to damage your relationship? Start improving yourrelationship by improving yourself. Don't expect anyone other than yourself to change .
Q: How can I change my significant other?A:
Like the statement above, don't expect anyone to change for you. You should love all of him ornot at all. Some people these days think everything should be equally divided. It can be anythingfrom household chores, paying for dinner, or even buying groceries. This could be a perfect wayto run a business but it can really negatively affect a relationship. When it comes to saving astrained relationship, you need to give unconditional love even if he does or doesn't do.
Q: What can I do to reverse the damaged that has been done to our relationship?A:
If you know what caused your relationship to be damaged then you should already have theknowledge what NOT to do. You need to watch what you can say or do to cause a fight and stopyourself from doing those things. This may be hard in the beginning, but with time and practice, you will be able to catch yourself before you say something you will regret later on. When youcatch yourself, ask yourself whether or not its worth another fight or even breaking up. If it's notworth it, then just let it go.
Q: What other things can I do to fix this?A:
If you want to fix your relationship, let him know. Be honest with your feelings and just tellhim you are sorry for what you have contributed to the current situation. Don't be try to explainyour actions or be condecending about it. Be honest, open to whatever may happen and bevulnerable. Make sure he is aware that you are ready to do whatever it takes to save yourrelationship because he is important to you. He might also say he is sorry but that is not thepoint. Being sincere and apologetic will show him you are committed to fixing the relationship.
