Bart Cham Dao (Butterfly Knife)By: Yip ChunSection 1:1.Attention. Both swords on the left hand.2.Raise both hands to the side at chest level while sinking down and going to a goatstance.3.Right inner gate punch to right relaxed hand to right circling hand then back to the side atchest level.4.Using the right hand, pick one sword from the left hand while left foot steps forward.5.Each hand holding a sword and at centerline. Kick right foot forward.

Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of sword at 45 degrees angleupward.Section 2:
1.
Strike left sword forward with right sword on guard position. Strike right sword forwardwith left sword on guard position. (Repeat one more time).
2.
Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of sword at 45 degrees angleupward.Section 3:1.With both swords vertically forward with arms extended, step left foot forward and strikeright sword forward.2.With left sword in wing block position, step right foot forward.3.Swing both swords diagonally downward to the right side with right foot stepping back.Swing both swords diagonally downward to the left side with left foot stepping back.Swing both swords diagonally downward to the right side with right foot stepping backinto a normal stance.4.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.Section 4:

Stab left sword forward with right sword on guard position. Stab right sword forward withleft sword on guard position. (Repeat one more time).2.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.3.Repeat on the other side.Section 5:

Strike both swords to the left side as in kan sau with right sword on top and left swordbelow. Strike swords to the right side as in kan sau with left sword on top and right swordbelow. (Repeat one more time).2.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.3.Repeat on the other side.Section 9:1.Strike both swords to the left side as in kan sau with right sword on top and left swordbelow while right foot stepping forward. Move left hand down then tilt the tip of the leftsword at 45 degrees angle upward.

Strike left sword forward with right sword horizontally pointing forward with right elbowbent while stepping left foot forward. Move right hand down then tilt the tip of the rightsword at 45 degrees angle upward. Strike right sword forward with left sword horizontallypointing forward with left elbow bent while stepping right foot forward. Move left handdown then tilt the tip of the left sword at 45 degrees angle upward.

Strike left sword forward with right sword on guard position while stepping right footbackward. Strike right sword forward with left sword on guard position while stepping leftfoot backward. Strike left sword forward with right sword on guard position while steppingright foot backward to a normal stance.4.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.5.Repeat on the other side.Section 10:

Move both swords to the left side as in kwun sau with left sword as tan sau (palm uphand) and right sword as bong sau (wing block). Move both swords to the right side as inkwun sau with right sword as tan sau and left sword as bong sau. (Repeat one moretime).2.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.Section 11:1.Move both swords to the left side as in kwun sau with left sword as tan sau (palm uphand) and right sword as bong sau (wing block) while left foot stepping forward.

Slash right sword from left to right by stepping right foot forward with left sword pointinghorizontally forward. Strike left sword forward by stepping left foot forward with rightsword on guard position.

Strike right sword forward with left sword on guard position while left foot is steppingbackward. Strike left sword forward with right sword on guard position while right foot isstepping backward. Strike right sword forward with left sword on guard position while leftfoot is stepping backward into a normal stance.4.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.
 
5.Repeat on the other side.Section 12:

Strike both swords diagonally to the left side with left sword in inverted grip with sword tippointing downward while right sword in a normal grip with sword tip pointing upward.Strike both swords diagonally to the right side with right sword in inverted grip with swordtip pointing downward while left sword in a normal grip with sword tip pointing upward.(Repeat one more time).2.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.3.Repeat on the other side.Section 13:1.Strike both swords diagonally to the left side with left sword in inverted grip with sword tippointing downward while right sword in a normal grip with sword tip pointing upward.Right foot stepping forward.2.Strike left sword upward in a normal grip position with right sword on guard in an invertedgrip position while stepping left foot forward.3.Move in a shuffle step forward while executing both swords block as in lan sau (bar hand)with left sword in normal grip and right sword in inverted grip position.4.Strike right sword forward in normal grip position with left sword on guard while steppingright foot forward.5.Strike left sword forward with right sword on guard position while stepping right footbackward. Strike right sword forward with left sword on guard position while stepping leftfoot backward. Strike left sword forward with right sword on guard position while steppingright foot backward into a normal stance.6.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.7.Repeat on the other side.Section 14:

Strike left sword outward and upward to the left side with right sword on guard position.Strike right sword outward and upward to the right side with left sword on guard position.(Repeat one more time).2.Strike both swords forward at centerline with the tip of swords at 45 degrees angleupward.3.Repeat on the other side.Section 15:1.Strike right sword outward and upward to the front with left sword on guard position whilestepping right foot forward. Strike right sword outward andupward to the front with left sword on guard position while stepping right foot forward.2.Chop right sword to the neck level with left sword on guard position. Strike left swordforward with right sword on guard position while stepping left foot forward.
