We are going to use Warner Bros Records, Muse use this as their record label. The reason we have chose this band is because they are a very unique band with many different sounds and also they are very abstract, this meaning that they are very different to many other bands. Plus both of us like the music they produce. We believe that if we were to make a music video for the band muse, we would gain high popularity for the band and also many sales to make money for Warner Bros and Muse.
As the song we have chosen Supermassive Black Hole is very abstract, this means we can make the video very abstract looking as that is the image we want our music video to have. What we want our Music video to look like. We want our video to look very abstract, as this is what the original music video is based around, plus we think that this song only really suits the abstract theme. We want to have very abstract and colourful backgrounds and possibly dancers wearing very abstract costumes dancing to the song. What is the story of the video? We want our video to have a narrative but also a performance, the performance part of out video will be dancers that look very abstract dancing along to the song. The narrative part of our video, we have two ideas, one may be of a boy and a girl in a relationship or if not, our other idea is of just random footage, but all of the footage does link together to make some sort of story behind the video. What theorist do we want to follow? The theorist we want to base our music video off is Andrew Goodwin, this is because we like his theory the most, his main ideas were; Narrative and Performance The star image Relation of visuals to actual song Technical aspects of a music video Thought beats-seeing the sound We are going to use this theorists theory as we are going to use narrative and performance in our music video and we are also going to use the relation of visuals to the song, and probably more the aspects of this theorist.
