A way back I was idling away the dayat Conway Bay, waiting for Waylittato return from her stay in Venezuela,Paraguay, Uruguay, Kuwait, Norwayand Wales. I was watching the whalesplay in the waves, when I met on thepathway a wheyish, wayless wayfarer,wearing waders. A bunch of NakedLadies and a thin tin of wafersswayed in his suede lunch bag.“You look in a bad way,” I venturedto say.“Aye, when I awakened today,” he replied,sounding as weighed down as he looked,“way too late, I was blown awayto find that Waylon McWaye, a waiter at the way station, had made his wayto my home, from the waterwayby the causeway before it windsinto the freeway. He swaggered rightup our walkway and in through thefront doorway, by the way, to steal
