Dear
Friends,
>our story
In
our
fast
‐
paced
urban
world,
we
constantly
seek
spaces
that
bring
us
comfort
and
rest.
We
seek
our
very
own
“4
‐
walls”,
our
own
spaces
of
comfort.
But
in
a
globalised
world,
our
“4
‐
walls”
are
not
constrained
by
time,
country
or
language;
we
can
find
our
solace
anywhere
in
the
world.
Comfort
can
be
found
in
the
faces
of
children,
in
nature’s
landscape,
in
street
musicians,
in
flowers,
in
cafés…
Yet,
do
our
“4
‐
walls”
liberate
us
from
urban
pain
or
do
they
lock
us
in,
locking
others
out?
Are
our
“4
‐
walls”
our
liberation
or
our
prison?
>how we tell it
Each
New
Year
comes
with
new
resolutions,
a
new
hope
for
the
year
ahead.
This
coming
January
of
the
New
Year,
MUSE
the
Art
Gallery
(Singapore)
will
be
part
of
this
hope.
The
gallery
will
be
providing
dedicated
installation
space
to
photographers
to
explore
their
own
stories
of
“4
‐
walls”.
At
least
4
local
rising
photographers
will
be
taking
the
challenge
to
explore
this
story
through
their
art
‐
photography.
These
photographers
include
Wong
Kin
Leong,
Fusheng
and
award
‐
winning
Elaine
Lim
(AIPP
2008
Awards;
US
Black
&
White
Magazine
2005)
and
John
Heng
(Canon
‐
TNP
Young
Photographer
of
the
Year
Award
2007).
These
art
photographs
will
be
on
sale
in
limited
editions.
We
thought
that
since
we
are
into
building
spaces
of
comfort,
why
not
dedicate
some
of
the
proceeds
from
the
sale
to
helping
less
fortunate
children
build
their
own
“4
‐
walls”?
Yup,
that
is
what
we
will
do.
We
will
be
putting
aside
a
little
something
for
charity.
