Hi Farida, Perhaps I can give you a brief summary of Gnanam and hispredicament - as faced by many underprivileged boys and girls in ourcountry. I have spent quite a bit of time documenting the eventstaking place ever since the death of his father during detentionsometime in June 2009. All of this has been put in the bloghttp://gnanam2009.wordpress.com/which is non-political in nature. If Ihave time I could have looked into a separate write-up, but just can'tdo so. Anyway if you study the contents there you will be able to findlots of information.  The point of contention here is that:1. YB Elizabeth Wong's office was generous to see to the burialceremony of the deceased.2. Subsequently after some meetings, she offered to help to securescholarship for Gnanam to do his A-Levels hopefully in the January2010 intake. Latest update is I have yet to hear from her assistance of a placement in the preferred Brickfields Asia College, though YB didassure that she will arrange for things to be done.3. There has been no welfare assistance to Gnanam and his family to-date.The family is living day by day. Breadwinners are Gnanam andhis elder sister with a combined earnings of about RM1,600.00 whichsees to the apartment rentals monthly and upkeep. Money is notenough; most days the family skip meals .  This is a micro issue, agree. But so far with some efforts from caringdonors, we managed to ease the burden of this family. However the
