Record Surfaces

After Pete Aguilars first year as Redlands mayor, Redlands rapes
nearly doubled. Aguilar is currently targeting women in his campaign
for Congress.

Redlands, CA Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar, a candidate for Congress, holds the
record for presiding over the highest increase in Redland rapes than any other Redlands
mayor for at least the past decade, according to public crime statistics.

Between 2009 and 2010, rapes in Redlands increased by 92 percent. Nationally, rapes
went down 3.5 percent.

Aguilars term as mayor began in 2008.

Countless women in Redlands suffered unspeakable horror while Pete Aguilar was in
charge, said Linda Wolfe-Page, a spokeswomen for San Bernardino Citizens for Public
Integrity. The perpetrators are responsible for the crimes, but something in Redlands
went horribly wrong. When we learned that Pete had the brass to target female voters, as
if they are a single unified voting bloc, we came to this conclusion: the election of Pete
Aguilar to the United States Congress is a serious threat to womens rights.

Two days ago, the Los Angeles Times ran the following headline: Democratic candidates
working hard to get women to the polls. Reporter Jean Merl wrote, Redlands'
Democratic mayor, Pete Aguilar, joined female small-business owners and members of
his "Women for Pete" coalition to mark Women's Equality Day.

We understand that this news would certainly disturb the medias ongoing fairy tale
narrative of Pete Aguilar as a great man, Wolfe-Page added. So we will understand, but
not forgive, when they choose not to report on this story.
