Grand opening of Theeparat schoolKhun 'Chanupong Planting a Tamarind tree
Khun 'Chanupong Manachamni', The ResidentManager From Bandara resort and spa,planting one of the many trees that day.Each tree we plant creates an awarenessthat its important to keep on planting.The 6th Low carbon school on koh samuiwas officially opened on the 15th Septem-ber.Once again khun Suraphong the DeputyMayor of koh samui, gave his time.Along side the General Manager of Fairhouse Villas and spa, khun Jerome Simmsand the Assistant Manager of Bandararesort and spa.Representing THA, was Khun Mike Hole-house, John Ens, George form Paradisebeach resort.And not to forget Nong Tan from Fairhouse Villas and spa for making this hap-pen with her team and the team from Ban-dara.

Shows what was once a major crop andindustry on koh samui the coconut tree withits versatile and adaptable fruits.In times gone by all utensil were madefrom wood and coconut and mango.

The imagination of children,goes a long way to beingvery creative, as shown ofthe village garden its fenceand the small relaxing Salawhen the sun gets to hot towork on the land.The base was made from oldegg boxes a few drops offood color and imagination,there was so many modelsmade at the school. It washard to not to show them all .A few boards were set up atthe school to show us whatneeds to be done and whatwe can do, a great effortwas made to set theseboards up from Bandararesort and spa and Fairhouse Villas and spa.

One again the delightful re-cycled costumes made by thestudents of Theeparat school,were on show.The green and black costumewas made up of green bagsand black bags, the centrecostume was entirely madefrom fruit juice carton boxes.Far right costume was a mix-ture of bags and paper.

What ever else will they thinkof next, Roses made fromdried fish scales, colored withfood color form the bakery.The time and effort that goesinto these flowers is an art initself.A great way to recycle thekitchen waste after a greatfish dinner.They were presented won-derfully.Black bins are everywheredoing a great job for sepa-ration, garbage bins such asthese on display are them-selves recycled from previousplastic items.What matters the most is wetry and take the time toseparate our garbage.

What else can we say abouta Tree that is so self suffi-cient, that it takes itself veryseriously in a world that fallsaround it, it survives stormsTsunamis and the beating wehumans give it.The coconut tree with all itsby products, the most versa-tile tree in the world.
