The Gift of Grace: A Measure from GodLesson 1
Ephesians 4:7, “But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of thegift of Christ.”Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace you are saved through faith, and this not out of yourselves, the gift of God.”Just as faith is measured unto us, so is grace. Grace, faith and salvation all are gifts of God.Grace: pleasing show, charm, beauty, graciousness, an act of favor, free favor, a gracious provision, a generous gift, loveliness, sweetness, merciful kindness.According to this verse in Ephesians, God has given us already, from the gift of Christ provided at salvation, the measure needed to fully provide for us a continuous provisionof benefits as we recognize its operation in us. The spirit possesses in total capacity themeasure of grace needed in one’s lifetime to fully provide the complete work of God for every situation and condition one must meet. God said to Paul, My grace (which I havein you is sufficient. Thus, Peter said, grow in grace. What it means here is, since youhave the grace in you, get in that grace and grow.II Peter 3:18, “But you grow in the center of grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”Grow: increase, augment, receive increase in His favors and benefits.Peter is saying, let His benefits take over. Let them take charge of your life. The more benefits we receive and enjoy the more we are growing in grace. Grace is not increasing, but we are increasing to dwell and operate in the center of His favors.II Corinthians 12:9, “My grace to thee is enough: for My power is perfected inweakness.”God’s grace is enough. It is completed in itself. Then it is saying with Peter and Paul, augment your existence in grace. Add to your daily living the benefits. You increase inthe use of the favors. This is learning to apply the benefits to everything in our life.Your spirit does possess a full measure of grace. Live totally in that measure and youwill be blessed by its flow of sweetness and kindness.2

The Gift of Grace: Working in UsLesson 2
Romans 3:24, “Being justified without a cause by His grace, through the redemptionwhich in the center of Jesus Christ.”Grace places us upon the position of justification, being treated as though we had never sinned, because of the price of redemption brought about for us in Jesus Christ.According to this verse, it all happens without a cause on our side. Now this positiongrants to us the merits of grace working constantly to present us always pure and just before God. Definitely, there is no cause in us that makes God want to consider us astotally clean and without guilt, but the cause is in Jesus. Grace supplies the cause, JesusChrist, for God considering us as though we had never sinned. Grace is continuallyworking in us with all the benefits to make us accepted by God through faith. JesusChrist is the position and grace is the benefits and favors from the position.I Timothy 1:14, “But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and lovewhich (is) in the center of Christ Jesus.”The measure of grace received in Jesus Christ was exceeding abundant with the benefit of faith and love. This is saying two things:1.Grace in Jesus is exceeding abundant.2.Grace in Jesus is exceeding abundant jointly with faith and love. What is the purpose of this abundance of grace? To help us fulfill God’s will. The full application of God’s grace is fulfilling God’s will. When we apply the grace of God in our lives, it heals, soothes, restores, fulfillssatisfaction from God. Grace is God’s plan for us. Grace produces advancement. Graceis sufficient and capable of placing us above the pressures and opposition we face helpingus to look to the author and completer of faith, Jesus Christ. Power, victory, anddeliverance are signs from God and they are supplied in this grace. Grace only knows benefit, favor and profit.Grace from the position of Jesus Christ is always working on our behalf to bring profitand help from God. It is God flowing forth with all that He is in generosity and kindness.Grace is His pleasing disposition spreading sweetness and compassion to all whorecognize Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives.3
