What is a Shortcut?
An icon is a graphically representation of object on yourcomputer. These objects can represent either a programs, files or folders. You can open a file or launch an applicationby clicking the icon. Since Windows is dynamic, you can
create your own icons called “Shorcuts”. The shortcut icons
have a small arrow on the bottom left corner.Shortcuts are particularly useful because you can put them on your desktopor in the Start menu without having to make a copy of the actual file itself. This saves space by allowing you to keep a single copy of a large programfile, while placing one or more shortcuts to the file wherever they areconvenient.
