Huckleberry FinnA lot of people think that Huck Finn was just an average countryrunaway child. But Mr. Mark Twain left out some very importantdetails about Huck’s life. You see, Huck was really into golf. He playedas much as he could and just loved the sport. So once Huck wasadopted by Aunt Sally, she gave him enough money to take a steamboatup the Mississippi then take a train out to Long Island to go toBethpage Black. He was so excited that he could go to one of thegreatest golf tournaments --the U.S. Open.Huck walked the course and watched the professional golfers asthey warmed up and practiced their putting and driving. When PhilMickleson teed off Huckleberry decided to watch him play, as he is oneof his favorite professional golfers. Huck watched Phil Mickleson,Retief Goosen, and Ernie Ells play together. On hole number 3 he wasin the back of the crowd and Ernie Ells shanked a shot into the woodsright behind Huckleberry. He ran to the ball, stood right next to itand watched the next shot from two feet away. He even saw himselfon TV!Huck then went to the 18
hole and watched Tiger Woods finishhis final round. When Woods finished he walked to the interview spotso Huck followed him in to watch it, then almost bumped right intoTiger as the golfer, visibly disappointed, walked to his car, threw hisclubs into the trunk, and drove off without even watching the rest ofthe tournament. Huck was in shock.
