Only graduates of Columbus City Schools are eligible to apply for the
I Know I Can (IKIC)
Grant.Applicants must apply within one year of their high school graduation date, be enrolled as a full-time college student, meet grade requirements (2.25 for graduating high school students and 2.0for college students) and be Pell eligible for consideration of this award. An applicant is eligible toreceive the I Know I Can Grant for up to four years for a baccalaureate program or for up to twoyears for an associates or certificate program or upon attainment of your degree, whichevercomes first. Graduates who enter the military immediately following high school will be eligible toparticipate in the program if they apply within one year after leaving the military.
To be considered for the I Know I Can Grant, all applicants must submit thefollowing by April 15

part of the 2010-2011 academic year mustmeet this April 15, 2010 deadline. An application is available online for printing bygoing to www.iknowican.org.

Student Aid Report
(SAR)

The SAR is e-mailed or mailed to you after filing the Free Application for FederalStudent Aid (FAFSA). Your SAR may be accessed from the FAFSA homepage atwww.fafsa.ed.gov.

Submit
College transcript
(for current college students only) – If you have taken collegecourses, you will need to submit your college transcript, your online advising report oronline grade summary with your
cumulative Grade Point Average when you apply
.Current college students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative college GPA.
High School transcript (for first-time applicants)
– If you graduate in 2010, IKIC willreceive your grades from the district. High school graduates from the class of 2010 musthave a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher as well as successfully completed all 5 parts of the OGT.**********************************************************************************************************************
Upon approval of the I Know I Can Grant –
a copy of your 2010-2011
Financial AidAward for the college you plan to attend as well as your college ID number
willneed to be submitted prior to the check being sent.

Board of Trustees. Nothing herein shall be deemed to guarantee that every qualified Columbus City School Districtstudent will receive financial aid to finance his or her post-secondary education. Students shall not rely on, orin any way plan on, receiving I Know I Can Grants as the primary source for their post-secondary education.
