Bolivia's main economic indicators have continued to show improvement, with rapid improvement in some areas, over the past year. Real GDP growth for 2006 came in at 4.6 percent, compared to 4 percent in 2005, 4.2 percent in 2004, and compared to an average of 2.3 percent for the 2000-2003 period.
