Chalk and boric acid will help keep ants away. If all else fails for rodent, get a cat. You will never see another rodent again.
Mint leaves will keep rodents away. Just sprinkle them outside around the house and in corners of cabinets. Should be able to find mint leaves in health food stores.

can someone tell me a home remedy for killing mice, I have cleaned the whole house and they are still around. Help

I do the same as dovaschild...grits on an antbed. They eat it then drink water, the grits will expand.
