IV.HOW TO BE A GOOD FRIEND:a.LOVE one another
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

does not boast

does not delight in evil
rejoices with the truth
loves at all times
, and a brother is born for adversity.
b.Be TRUTHFUL to each other
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and
speak truthfully tohis neighbor

WHAT IF THE TRUTH HURTS?
*Speak the truth in love.
Wounds from a friend can be trusted
, but an enemy multiplieskisses.-
Be careful how you say it. Be considerate of your friend’s feelings. Putyourself in your friend’s shoes.
Confront him/her privately.

V.Is there a PERFECT FRIEND?
YES! Proverbs 18:24 tells us “
…but there is a friend who sticks closer thana brother.
” Also in John 15:13, “
Greater love has no one than this, that HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.”
Who is this perfect friend? JESUS! He loves us unconditionally. He iswaiting for us to come to him in repentance. There’s no need for us to waitfor us to be perfect – we can come to him
just as we are
. He is ready andwilling to take away our pain. He will give us peace and joy that no one elsecan give. Most of all, he offers eternal life for us so that we can spendeternity with him. He already paid the price of our sins. All we have to do is
