MobileCord’s flagshipproduct MobileCord 1.0 helps enterprise IT departments address the desire of mobileemployees to have a unified view of all their communication channels such as email,voice mail and instant messaging, while allowing the IT department to manage multipletypes of devices interfacing with multiple software packages and communicationchannels.The growth in mobile devices and the increase in the amount of informationflowing through an enterprise’s communication channels such as email and instantmessaging presents an opportunity for MobileCord’s software. According toInternational Data Corporation (IDC), the number of worldwide handheld shipments isexpected to increase from 8.1 million in 2000 to 18.9 million in 2003. In addition, IDCestimates that the number of email messages sent annually will increase from 2.6 billionin 2000 to 6.3 billion in 2003.MobileCord’s strength is in its strong R&D team, which has built a product inMobileCord 1.0, which is already in production. We plan on offering our product to avariety of industry verticals and have already implemented our solution in the Consulting,Financial, Manufacturing and Technology equipment sectors. MobileCord offers itsproduct through a direct sales force. We are also beginning to build partnerships with ITServices and wireless service providers. In the first quarter of 2002, we are releasingMobileCord 2.0, which supports new convergent devices’ telephony and PDAcapabilities such as Short Message Service (SMS) and the Wireless Application Protocol(WAP).We are continuing to execute on our business model with continued revenuegrowth and low operating expenses. Most of our revenue is derived from license andimplementation fees that are recognized after our software has been implemented. Inaddition to our license and service revenue, we charge a monthly subscription fee on aper user basis that gives us visibility into future quarters. Assuming a capital raise iscompleted early next year, MobileCord could expand its sales and marketing to helprevenue grow at a rapid pace. As of December 31, 2001 MobileCord had $700,000 incash with operating and capital lease obligations over the next three years of $450,000.MobileCord, Inc. has no debt and has not drawn down on any credit lines.
