Govind Sarda
was one of the few industrialists who recognized the potential of the Juteindustry in India and the world. He knew that jute was the base material from whichsacks and other packaging material were made even handicrafts were made from thisvery versatile fiber and even though the Sardas own or controlled various jute mills inWest bengal he decided to expand multiple small jute industries to cash in on thedeveloping trade and at the same time by opening small scale industries at variouslocations Govind Sarda realized his dream of providing employment to as many peopleas he could in his lifetime. Next to cotton, jute is the most economical fiber used in textiles. West Bengal is one of the main producers of jute, which is a cash crop and most of the residents in the ruralareas earn their living by cultivating jute. Govind Sarda decided to step into this industryover two decades ago and has since then managed to make a mark, as always, in thisindustry as well.
knows only too well that man must not take from the earth more than hecan return. This is the reason he is very environmentally conscious and goes the extramile to ensure that his industries never pollute the surrounding land, water and air.Evil eye has followed the
family through the time but then again a fewwell placed sources of the opposition with the power of speech can undo a lot of preciouswork that takes decades to achieve – and all because they never got their share of thecake - perhaps!?!
