The Aurora Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying the victim of a
homicide who was found yesterday morning in an alley in the 2500 block of North Joliet Street.
The victim is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 35 years old, 62, 367 lbs., black hair and

brown eyes. He had a mustache and a light goatee. He did not have any tattoos.
The victim was wearing several necklaces at the time of his death. A photo of those necklaces is attached.
A composite drawing of the victim is also attached.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Hershel Stowell at 303.739.6079. Outside of normal

business hours, please call Aurora Public Communications at 303.627.3100.

At approximately 7:05 this morning Aurora Public Communications received a 911 phone call from a
citizen reporting that there was a body in the alley in the 2500 block of North Joliet Street.
Responding officers found a deceased adult male who appeared to have suffered at least one gunshot
wound.

Major Crimes/Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are in the early stages of their
investigation. They are currently determining the basic facts of the case and are investigating the death as
a homicide.
