What’s all fuss about doing a liver cleansing diet? I mean, we’re not talking about lung cancer or diabetes so why should anyone bother doing a body detox diet and what is a whole body cleanse?
Be nice to your liver! Your liver not only collects the contents from your intestines, store
carbohydrates, balance your blood sugar levels and activate and deactivate hormones but
crucially, your liver detoxifies your body removing poisonous plastics, pesticides, heavy metals,
additives, sweeteners and other dangerous stuff from your body. These tiny alien bits
accumulate turning your body into an acidic fermenting machine when it should be relaxed and
I avoided doing a liver cleansing diet for a long time– a very long time. Who would deliberately
take all the interesting foods out of their life and replace them with raw or steamed
vegetables? Did you hear that? That was my stomach talking – because unless you’ve been
# 1. List all the things that you need to do your liver cleansing diet. That means lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in your list. Specifically beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and cabbage are great liver cleansers.
# 4. Cut out fats and animal proteins. Again, hard to digest. What? Nothing to eat? Fill your detox diet with whole grains and legumes, fresh green herbs and spices like turmeric, coriander and ginger.
# 5. Drink a minimum of eight glasses of pure filtered water or low sodium mineral water. Water flushes toxins from your body. Add fresh lemon juice which strangely is alkaline not acidic - which is exactly what you want.
# 6. This is a perfect time to exercise. Start with a rapid walk for 10 - 15 minutes a day or
rebounding on a mini trampoline for 5 - 10 minutes every day if exercise and you are strangers.
Increase the time a little each time. Sweating helps to remove toxins and it all helps.
You can have a great energized body if you’re prepared to let go of all old habits like eating late, eating rubbish, overeating and drinking too much. Don’t do it because others are telling you to - because you will fail– do it because your liver is doing all it can to keep your body in great
