Superfudge Brownies

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted margarine or unsalted butter


6 1-ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
2 cups walnuts chopped (1 8-ounce can)
(optional –dust with powdered sugar & top with slivered almonds)

Instructions:

(about 2 hours before serving)

1. Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C)


2. Grease 9x9 inch baking pan.
3. In a heavy saucepan/pot melt margarine or butter and chocolate over low
heat, stirring frequently. Remove pan from heat.
4. With wooden spoon, beat in sugar and eggs until well-blended.
5. Stir in flour, vanilla, salt and nuts. Spread batter evenly in pan.
6. Bake 45 to 50 mins at 180 degrees Celcius until toothpick inserted 2 inches
from edge comes out clean.
7. Cool brownies on wire rack. When cold, cut brownies crosswise into 4 strips,
then divide each strip into 3 pieces. Store in airtight container. Makes 12
brownies.
