Location Based Services (LBS)
Your wireless device can determine its (and your) physical, geographical location (“Location Inormation”).Certain sotware applications are capable o accessing, collecting and using Location Inormation anddisclosing the inormation to the application provider and other people. You should use caution and discretionwhen determining whether or not Location Inormation should be made available to them. To limit potentialunauthorized access to your Location Inormation, Verizon Wireless devices are preset to “911 ONLY” which willonly allow authorized emergency response personnel to locate you i you dial 9-1-1 rom your wireless device.By changing the setting on the device to “LOCATION ON” you are enabling third party access to LocationInormation through sotware, widgets or peripheral components you choose to download, add or attach toyour wireless device. Verizon Wireless encourages you to check your wireless device periodically and only usesotware, widgets and peripheral components that are obtained rom reliable sources. When you use yourmobile browser or other services and applications, you authorize Verizon Wireless to collect, use and discloseyour Location Inormation as appropriate to provide you with any location services that you enabled.Verizon Wireless does not retain Location Inormation longer than necessary to provide the services to you.We will not knowingly disclose your Location Inormation to third parties without your consent. You shouldcareully review the privacy policies o application providers and third parties who you allow access to yourLocation Inormation, and you should know that signiicant risks can be associated with disclosing yourLocation Inormation to others.
