ARABY SPICE CAKE

From Isobel’s kitchen


Icing:
6 oz (175g) Soft butter 3-4 tbsp Soft butter
1 ½ cups Sugar 1 ½ cups Icing sugar
3 Eggs 1 tsp Cinnamon
1 7/8 cups Flour 1 tsp Instant coffee
¼ tsp Baking Powder 2 tbsp Cocoa
½ tsp Baking Soda 1-2 tbsp Hot water
¾ tsp Salt
¾ tsp Nutmeg Method:
1 tsp Cinnamon Cream butter & sugar well
2 tbsp Cocoa Add eggs, beat well
1 tsp Vanilla Essence Add dry ingredients alternately with milk
¾ cup Milk Then add nuts
½ cup Nuts (optional) Bake 45 minutes at 180 deg C (350 deg F)
