Hello Family and Friends,
It’s that time of year again…. where we start bundling up and try to stay warm amongst all thesnow. It also means it is time for my annual Christmas letter. It has been a very busy year for me with starting a full

time job and trying to plan a wedding.Last December, I graduated from Iowa State with a Bachelor’s in Food Science. Immediatelyfollowing in January, I started full

USA in Ames. My title is Quality Control, which means anything from preparing samples for our sales team to testing incoming raw ingre-dients to the final product before it leaves our facility. It has been a very hectic year and I try tostay caught up as much as possible, but sometimes it’s just not feasible. On the bright side, weare getting a new person in January, so that will take some of the load off of me, but not untilafter I train them. For any of you, who do not know what we do at Caremoli, we are the onesthat make the multigrain pasta mix for the yellow box of Barilla Plus Pasta (aka… the healthykind). So the next time that you are in the grocery store, check out the pasta aisle and say “Iknow someone that tests that stuff.” We also distribute plenty of other ingredients, such as guar gum and acids for confectionaries and bakeries, mainly across the U.S. but we do sell to placeson the East and West Coast, as well as Canada and Mexico. We also have a plant in Italy, Ger-many and India, so I have learned about all of the hassles of shipping products internationally.Andy graduated from Des Moines Area Community College after transferring from ISU in Janu-ary. He graduated with an Associates of Science in Management of Information Systems, andnow works for Schillinger Genetics in West Des Moines as the Information Coordinator/IT guy.He works out of the corporate office in West Des Moines, but they have research stations in Mar-yland, Illinois and Grinnell, IA. They primarily deal with non

GMO soybeans and corn. For those of you that did not know, Andy and I got engaged last December after I graduated. Our wedding will be June 12, 2010 in Ames. I can’t believe how fast the year has flown by andthat we are just shy of 6 months away from tying the knot. Plans are starting to fall into place aswe are slowly making progress on the all the logistics. We already have a reception site; it will be at the Story County Fairgrounds in the Community Building in Nevada, IA. We also have our photographer, my cousin, Amy Becker and our officiant, the former University Lutheran pastor,Fritz Wehrenberg, such an amazing guy. We will also be having the associate pastor from St.Thomas Aquinas, Fr. Dennis Miller, to assist and be the Catholic voice. Finally, I bought my bridal gown in July and absolutely love it. It was not the first dress I tried on, but very similar toit. I was the first one to try it on in the store and the owner had to add it to their inventory beforeI could buy it. It fit almost like a glove, but since I have been continuing to work out, I will probably have to get it altered. On the subject of working out, I have lost approximately 40 lbssince I started in late February. I feel so much better now, it is amazing!I think that is a pretty good wrap
