Study Smart
Learning new things can be great fun. You can learn a
lot from your teachers, and they are there to help you
understand things that might be too difficult for you to
learn by yourself. Then you have to do your part to
review and practice, to store the things you learn inside
your mind.
Sometimes its hard to sit still and focus when youre in
class or doing your homework, isnt it? If you ask Me,
I can help you concentrate and not get distracted. Im
happy to help you study, because I love you very much,
and I want to help you learn and remember the things
that will help you.
Call to me and I will answer you.
Jeremiah 33:3 (ESV)

A Reading Adventure
When I was a boy, I enjoyed learning. In those days we
didnt have books like you do now; we had scrolls. Just
like you have to take time to learn, as a child I also was
taught to read.
Learning to read isnt always easy, and it takes a lot
of practice and hard work, but if you keep at it, youll
see how wonderful it is and how much you can learn
and discover. You can also ask Me for help, and Ill
encourage you to keep going. In time, youll master
reading and be able to read from your favorite books.
Books are like boxes of treasures. Lets get started on a
reading adventure!
Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us.
Romans 15:4 (NIV)

Many Wonders
Would you like to learn how a rainbow is made? How
birds fly? And why some birds cant fly? What makes the
sun shine and the moon glow? Why cant you see the
stars in the daytime? How many numbers are there, and
how can we use them to find out what we want to know?
These are some of the questions that you can find the
answers to when you study science and math.
Every new thing that you learn in school will train and
prepare your mind to understand more new things. Soon
enough, you will know a whole lot about the world and
how things work. The world I have created is full of
wonderful and amazing mysteries for you to discover.
Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge.
Proverbs 23:12 (ESV)

Keep on Trying
Do you sometimes feel like something is too hard for you
to learn, or that its taking too long, and that youll never
get it right? Well, when youre learning something new,
its normal that it sometimes takes a while to get it right or
get good at it.
Can I tell you the secret to learning? If you dont get it
right the first time, try again! If it doesnt come out the
way you want it to, try again! I made your mind and
body, and you can learn most anything you want to
learn. Be patient, keep on trying, and never give up!
Youll be very happy when you finally get it right.
I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13 (NLT)

Cheery Little You

Its another beautiful day! There are so many things to be
happy about today. Lets think of a few together. Happy
people bring sunshine into peoples lives, even on gloomy
or stormy days. Do you see anybody without a smile
who might need a bit of cheer? Share a smile with them.
Smiles are catchingand so is happiness. When people
see your happy smile, it brightens their day. It makes
them feel like smiling too.
Your cheerfulness helps remind the people around you
that I want you to be happy, because I love you.
A glad heart makes a cheerful face.
Proverbs 15:13 (ESV)

Good Manners Are Awesome

Good manners are a way to make things pleasant for
everyone. Here are some ways to show good manners:

44Say please, thank you, youre welcome, and

excuse me.

44Eat nicely at the table: sit still in your chair, use your
fork or spoon, keep your mouth closed when youre
chewing, and be thankful for the food.

44Show respect: look at people when they speak to

you, smile, and speak clearly.

44Let other people go first.

When you have good manners, it shows that you are

thinking of others and being nice to them. That makes
them happy, and they will want to be nice to you too!
Do to others as you would like them to do to you.
Luke 6:31 (NLT)
