16th December 2009-March 26th 2010 – It is vital that blogs are kept up to date
and that progress is posted regularly. Screen grabs of the creative process or
other updates (evidence of students ‘creating the work’) must be included as
work is being completed.

16th Dec-Mon 4th Jan

Complete research and planning.

To include:

• Mood boards
• Examples of other texts
• Analysis of film opening sequence (or other appropriate film sequence)
• Analysis of magazine covers
• Decide on title of Film and magazine (can be a working title)
• Preparation of a 25 word pitch

Tues 5th Jan-Fri 22nd Jan

• 1 lesson to pitch idea to class and receive feedback

• Complete storyboard and draft script (film)
• Make animatic of storyboard
• Recce shots of film location and shots of work on storyboard
• Shots of work on magazine cover
• Complete mock version of cover/ contents page/ double page spread and
write draft article

Mon 25th-Fri 12th Feb

• Film and edit (rough cut)

• Compose cover/contents page/ double page spread (draft version)

Friday 12th Feb DRAFT DEADLINE - 3:10PM ENGLISH OFFICE

Work to be submitted on DVD (film) and printed out (Magazine)

To be handed back to students w/b Monday 1st March

Monday 22nd Feb-Fri 26th Feb

• Make logo and ident for film

• Conduct market research for magazine

W/B Mon 1st Mar

• Peer assessment
• Feedback from teachers with suggestions how to improve work

Mon 1st Mar-Fri 26th Mar

Film:

• Complete editing
• Add Logo and ident
• Add titles if necessary
• Complete music

Magazine:

• Complete cover/contents page/ double page spread

• Print out as professionally as possible
• Cut to size carefully

All students to ensure that blogs are up to date and presented in a suitable
fashion e.g. labelled correctly, link and label lists used, gadgets applied correctly
Etc

All students to ensure that preliminary exercise is completed to suitable

standard. Preliminary must be included for submission with final piece of
coursework.

n.b.: All work must also be posted on to relevant blogs.
