    AgoodamountofmyvolunteertimeisinvestedinworkingwithIUCN,bothasthe
    primarySierraClubrepresentativeforourInternationalNGOmembershipinIUCN,but
    alsoasanofficerofoneoftheIUCNCommissions.
    IUCNhasjustproducedabrochure(seedownloadlinkbelow)describingallofits
    commissions,composedofexpertsinareasrelativetothemandateofthecommissions.
    CommissionmembersdonotneedtobemembersofanIUCNorganizationalmember.
    Atthesametime,itincreasestheSierraClub'sinvolvementinIUCNwhenitsmembersdo
    applytoandgetacceptedasamemberofacommission.SierraClub'sIUCNdueshelp
    supporttheworkofthecommissionsaswell.
    IamawareofseveralotherClubmemberswhoarealsocommissionmembers,and
    somehavehadmajorroles,includingservingascommissionchairsand,assuch,IUCN
    Councillors.
    Ifanyoneisinterestedinexpandingyourconservationworkintotheinternationalarena,I
    wouldbepleasedtoassistyouinmakingcontactwiththechairofanyofthe
    commissions.
