Some studies have shown that instead of an "unrealistically&quo t; negative view, as most would think, a depressed person has a more "realistic" view of the future. That we, the depressed do not sugarcoat with stories to make ourselves feel better. A freind of mine, who has been labeled "depressed" refers to medication as the blue pill" (referring to "The Matrix"). Yes "treading water" is a good description, that's what we do.

Yes, too much medication can really mess things up. It took many years for me to find my wave. I don't fight it like I did when I was a kid. I tread water instead. But you know, there is something, not sure what to call it exactly (as you mentioned) that is very beautiful about depression. Its as if we feel more than the "normal" person. Sometimes I tell my friends that its like standing naked outside through every season. You feel every pelt of hail, every summer breeze and the whip lash of a fierce wind.

Thanks for the comment

Talking to a friend once, she self disclosing the terrible secret that she was bipolar (and I did see the blank look from probably too much medications), she tells me that her son also "suffers" from the bipolar malady (but won't take the meds because they zap his creativity) and although I am not bipolar (I have none of the highs, just the lows) I know that though the lows are sometimes painful sometimes there is a beauty in the pain that only some of us know. Thank you!

You are amazing. Because you know it and I know it. Between the lines we are - we don't lie - you and I.

Some do and they are the ones whom don't practice the courage to expose themselves to the greater purpose in life. Evolution starts within and gets shared.

You are not nuts - you are just in the minority - like me. That is why we raise the future so they "are" the majority! its a silent exercise.

I used to think oh I don't care what I say - but then I thought that is pointless because if I didn't care then I wouldn't bother. Do, Be, Do, Be, Do ... as Frank Sinatra sang!
