delete my threads
with no real clear justification. 5th thread thus far - IMDb I’ve revised my
information to the point
where I’m certain it doesn’t breach your conditions. Perhaps you should delete
threads such as
“WHO WANTS TO **** NEYTIRI??” etc instead of appropriate topics.
Albion and Call Me Joe in particular are perhaps the most pivotal points. My
uncle worked on
Albion, and therefore I find it incredibly insulting that these evidence provided,
are labelled as purely
coincidental.
SCENERY - Roger Dean and Delgo (Film started production in 1999 and
both distributed by
20th Century Fox). The scenery basically consisted of lush rainforests that are
already present on
earth... hardly groundbreaking.

CGI - Just basic updated technology we've already seen before, but with a
larger budget.
Motion Capture was present in Final Fantasy, LotR, King Kong, PotC, and
Fantastic Four (Silver surfer
guy). We were bound to see Avatar as everyone knows technology progresses at
a fast pace. It isn't a
major leap as you may think... wait until next year when a film will easily surpass
Avatar in CGI
...(revolutionary... I think not). Don't jump into the bandwagon. What happened
when you first saw
the initial trailer? (I saw it on my 50+ inch plasma the day the trailer was
released, so why the change
in opinion?)

He didn't invent the facial expression thing as well.

3D - It's not the first film in 3D is it???????? Hardly noticeable as it was
quite subtle. Major
3-D films in 2009 included Coraline, Monsters vs. Aliens, Up, X Games 3D: The
Movie, The Final
Destination, and Avatar.

PLOT - No explanation necessary. "Dances with Wolves in outer space"
quote Cameron.
Ferngully for its messages. Last Samurai. Pocahontas (EVERYTHING.. INCLUDING
EYWA), Call Me Joe
- (The premises is hugely identical).

Do not say originality is non-existant, because there are films that even though
are partially
influenced, can be regarded as original.
2001: A Space Odyssey, Pulp Fiction, Chinatown, Fargo, Fight club, Rear Window,
Memento, Toy
Story, Monsters Inc, Being John Malkovich, Psycho, Eternal Sunshine of the
Spotless Mind, Back to
the Future... tell me where they were derived from. All On the top off my head as
well.
AND I HONESTLY ASK YOU. CAN YOU PREDICT THESE FILMS JUST BY THE FIRST
10 MINUTES ALONE...
UNLIKE AVATAR. THIS IS NOT UNIQUE - FILMS INFLUENCE ONE ANOTHER, BUT
I'VE NEVER SEEN A
FILM SO RELIANT ON OTHERS. IT HAD NO INNOVATION WHATSOEVER. WE CAN
NORMALLY DRAW
MERITS FROM SPECIFIC STORIES, BUT IN AVATAR, YOU SIMPLY CAN'T.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO RIP FILMS, AT LEAST DO IT PROPERLY AND VARY IT LIKE
EPIC MOVIE.
AVATAR'S SCRIPT MAKES DISASTER MOVIE LOOK LIKE SHAKESPEARE!!
WEAPONRY - Just replicated his own films, Aliens in particular. Lot of video
game concepts
are also visible (specifically Halo).

BATTLE SCENE - Nothing innovative. Saw this in the Last Samurai and
Pocahontas, but with a
different outcome.
SAVE THE INTEGRITY OF CINEMA! SOMETHING THAT DIDN'T REQUIRE ANY
CREATIVITY/ORIGINALITY SHOULDN'T BE REAPING IN BILLIONS!
