Alison got out of bed; slowly. She really didn't want to move after the nightthat she'd had. As she walked over to her bathroom to look in the mirror shethought about everything that had happened the night before. It had been a normal night for Alison. She put on some make-up andcalled Cindy to see if she wanted to go to a bar or something. Maybe meetsome cute guys. Cindy met her in front of Jackel's Pub. They went intogether and started looking around. Not too many people; there was onecute guy at the end of the bar, drinking alone. There was a gigantic Oaf atthe bar, on what looked like, his sixth drink.Cindy and Alison whispered quietly to each other, deciding where togo, when the gigantic Oaf from the last paragraph got up off of his bar stooland walked over to them. They could smell the alcohol on his breath as hetalked, “Well, hello ladieees. Hows about you two and old Bill here go for alittle snuggle back at my place.”Alison snorted at this. “Excuse me Mister. We're just here for a drinkor two and then we're leaving. And not with you. So if you move out of ourway...”He leered at their breasts as he spoke, with his voice slurred, “I don'tthink so. When Bill wants something, Bill'll get something. So if you don'tcome with me...” He grabbed Cindy by the wrist. “I'll just take you withme.”“Let go of me, you big asshole.” Protested Cindy. But it was no use, hehad too strong of a grip on her.Suddenly the cute guy sitting at the far end of the bar was standing nextto the Oaf. He had his hand in his pocket and, what looked like a gun, waspointed our of it. “The ladies don't want to go with you sir. And in myexperience, it's been that you leave a lady alone when she doesn't want to gobe with you.”“Get way from me asshole.” Slurred the Oaf, as he pushed passed thecute guy with Cindy still in his grasp.“I really wouldn't do that if I were you.Said the cute guy.

The Oaf smirked and punched Alison in the face and everything wentblack. When Alison woke up she had a massive headache. She was lookingaround when she saw Cindy. She waved Cindy over who looked surprisedwhen she saw Alison. “Alison! What are you doing here?”“Cindy, what do you mean, what am I doing here? The last thing Iremember is that cute guy telling that Oaf not to do something, and then thathuge Oaf punched me, and then I just woke up.”“What are you talking about, Alison? What cute guy? What Oaf?”Cindy was looking even more confused.Alison stood up and walked past Cindy. There were some ambulanceworkers loading that Oaf onto a stretcher. He looked really pale and in pain.“What happened to him?” She asked the ambulance driver.“Cardiac arrest. All of a sudden. And we can't get a straight answer ofwhat happened from anybody.” He was shaking his head. “Not the type ofguy you'd want to meet in a dark alley.” He smirked.“No,” said Alison. “Not at all.Alison walked back over to Cindy, who was still looking confused.“Cindy, what really happened?”“Well, I was sitting at the bar,” said Cindy. “And then this huge guy just collapsed. It looked like he was having a heart attack. Some womancalled the ambulance on her cell. Then I just saw you lying by the doorthere.”“What about the cute guy? The one who was telling that Oaf off?”“I have no idea. That's all I remember. I think I'm gonna go home now.I don't feel myself.” And she left.Alison was really worried about what had happened. She assumed thatthe cute guy attacked the Oaf, but why didn't Cindy remember it? Did sheget hit in the head or something? And what happened to the cute guy?Alison walked from the bar out into the street. As she walked she saw a guyon the other side of the street on a cell phone. When she looked closer, she
