This was one of Ouspensky's first books so in that context it is remarkable. The style is difficult, though, because it is not really personal-he tries to come over as a 'philosopher' or 'mathematician' which he wasn't, he was a genuine Seeker but with ambition and ego. The contents of Organum, the ideas, was superceded, 'improved' upon by Ouspensky later on. And 'later', of course, he met Gurdjieff and believed that he had found the answers he was looking for- it became his 'profession' (his word). His book The Strange Life of Ivan Osokin, carries a much more personal essence and in a way is his autobiography. I really like that one. Anyway the part of the book I find most interesting is the last chapter(?) -about the consciousness of Space.
