Experiences/Positions

1. Member Secretary of Social Welfare Council (SWC), 19 July 2006 to 2 September 2007
( (13.5 months only). SWC is the apex Government autonomous body for registration of
INGOs, facilitation, monitoring, supervision, evaluation of I/NGOs and making agreements
(General and Project) between INGOs and Nepalese Government (SWC). Being the
Executive Chief, I looked after 185 INGOs, 24000 NGOs and concerned Ministries of Nepal.

People visited personally during one fiscal year were 33215 Male and 19006 Female a total of
52221 and 3500 Officials from abroad and the country. There were group meetings too.
Around 11500 letters received and 5700 dispatched. Around 250 meetings held with
diplomats, representatives of I/NGOs, government officials, AIN and federation officials.
Visited districts and observed I/NGOs status. Nearly 20 Project Advisory Committee of INGO
meeting attended and chaired. Worked as a Chief Executive and prepared different policy
issues/papers, drafted new act, made long-term plans with 164 staffs at SWC.
