A point is a position in space. It has no mass. Graphically, it takes the form of a dot.

end of a line.

In typography, the point is a period-the definitive end of a line.

Points are all around us in our environment. This piece of Masonite is an example of “found” point.
Some “found” points, such as this dandelion, are made up of smaller points.
A line is an infinite series of points. A line is the connection of two points or the path of a moving point.
A line can be a positive mark or a negative gap. Lines appear at the edges of shapes.
A line curvy or straight, broken or continuos and can be created with many different tools.
Typographic lines are implied. Characters group to make lines of text. Type sits on a baseline.
A plane has a height and width. A plane is the moving path of a line. It is a line with breadth.
A line closes to create a shape, a bounded plane. A plane can be parallel to the picture plane or skewed.
A plane can be solid or perforated, opaque or transparent, textured or smooth. Planes also intersect, such as in this room with walls
