Google launching Smart phone on 5th Jan 2010
As i discussed earlier about theGoogle Launching Cell Phone.Google is set to launch his new smart phone on 5th Jan 2010, incompetition of Apple's iPhone. The Google-branded device will use itslatest Android operating system called Anrdoid 2.1.Android is alreadybeing used in more than a dozen smart phones by many vendors,including Motorola and Samsung.According to technology blog Gizmodo the Nexus One will be soldunlocked on a Google website for $530. The phone will work on GSMcellphone networks and will be offered at a subsidised price of $180 inthe US by fourth-ranked carrier T-Mobile with a two-year talk and datacontract costing $80 a month.The Nexus One is likely to have a 3.7-inch AMOLED (active matrixorganic light emitting diode) touch screen.AMOLED, which is a bright display technology, needs no backlighting forthe device to function. Since there is no backlight, touch screen looksbrighter.The Google GSM smart phone will also have a 5-megapixel camera andWi-Fi connectivity.According to mobile industry bloggers, Google may sell the smart phoneunlocked, thus not locking buyers in long-term contracts with carriers.
