M – Mail: Mail a card to each student who is absent.

T – Telephone: Contact each student who has missed 2 weeks in a row.
V – Visit: * Personally visit every child who visits your class. The earlier the visit
the more apt they are to return to your class.
* Visit those who have missed 3 weeks in a row.
* Visit every student on your roll.
E – Encouragement: Write a note of encouragement to your faithful attendees.

⇒ Write a card to each student who was absent (5-10 minutes)

⇒ Call each student who has been absent for two weeks in a row (5-7
minutes)

⇒ Call one prospect (2-5 minutes)

Students from the Sunday School
Roll
We allow a class to drop someone from the roll for any of the
following four reasons…
 The person has died.
 The person has moved to such a distance from the church
that it is impossible for them to attend. Caution: If you are
not sure, then do not drop them.
 The person has not attended in over a year, and we
cannot contact them because the address and phone
number are incorrect.
 The person requests to be dropped. Caution: They must
initiate this. We do not ask them, “Can we drop you from
the roll?”
