In June of 1992 Jimmy V wasdiagnosed with terminal cancer.Jim'sattitudeto this diagnosiswas the same as to every challenge he faced in life. and that we must never give up. Jim’s body may have
succumbed to cancer on April 28, 1993 but just as Jim said it in
 
 
his famous acceptance speech for the Arthur Ashe Award forCourage at ESPN's first American Sports Awards... his cancernever would never touched his mind. Hisattituderemainedentacked.Jimmy Valvano faced death with the sameattitudethat he facedlife. We could all learn a lot from the attitude Jimmyhad and demonstrated for us. Jimmy Valvano's attitude was thesecret to his success.
