Set Your Preferences
Set your preferences, such as the system youwant to use to calculate your grades.
1. On the settings bar, click
Set Preferences
.
2. On the Set Preferences dialog box, clickthe
Gradebook
tab.3. Enter your preferences, and click
OK
. Besure your gradebook features are enabled,and the parameters for calculating gradeshave been defined.
Enter Class Attendance
1. Log on to the Staff view.2. Click
Attendance
 
> Class
.3. Select the checkbox next to the sec-tion you want to enter attendance for.4. On the
Class
side-tab, click
Input
.The input page appears.5. In the
Code
column, click the appro-priate code for students who are notpresent:6. Click
Post
. You can edit these val-ues at any time or any date.
Create Assignments
1. Log on to the Staff view.2. Click
Gradebook > Assign-ments
.3. Go to
Options
 
> Add
.4. Enter the parameters for creat-ing an assignment(See
Calculating Averages
 handout).5. Click
Save
.
Enter Daily Attendance
1. Log on to the Staff view.2. Click
Attendance
 
> Daily
. The Daily At-tendance page displays the students inthe homeroom or classroom that your school uses for daily attendance:3. In the
Code
column, click the appropri-ate code for students not present.4. Click
Post
. The system confirms youwant to post. Click
OK
. The systemsends the records you enter to the
school’s office.
 
WARNING: After you click Post, you can-not change an attendance record and re-post it to the office. To make changes,contact the office. Create Assignment Categories

.Any existing categories appear.3. Go to
