TYPOGRAPHY/WORD PROJECT INTERVENTIONS 12.27.09

Typography and architecture share common design principles. It is the correlation of this idea that led to thebeginning of the project; Intervention: Form and Letterform. The intention was to place the letter into a structuralspace. Through this unity a conceptual message of forms and spirit could be communicated.The text that will be used are pieces of Catholic Saint’s prayers, which furthers the point of intervention with lifeand space themseleves. Each scene will contain a Gothic letter, in the same style of the Cathedrals used, ac-compianed with text from the prayer of the Saint’s namesake for each letter.

(Since the project has been set up from my other class and has been done in print, my main objective will be making it work in motiongraphics. I will mostly be conceptualizing different transitions and ways the type can form in the spaces.)
