FBISD re Inaeianeeaverninnres avid Yaffe, Principal February 5, 2015 Dear Clements Rangers: ‘As we near the time when families consider summer school courses, I want to remind you that Fort Bend Independent School District has determined that the following outside providers are the only ones from which credit will be accepted: The University of Texas Virtual School, Texas Tech University, and the Texas Virtual School Network. ‘Some recent questions have arisen considering the ‘Trent InternationalE School here in Sugar Land. High school counselors in Fort Bend ISD were advised prior to the registration window opening for the Trent InternationalE, School on February 2 that credit from Trent would not be accepted. I regret that you were not told this information prior to registering for a summer course if you have done so. Some students have expressed interest in Trent’s U.S. History course. We regret any inconvenience that this may have caused, Feel free to use this letter towards pursuing a refund with Trent IntenationalE School if you so choose. Please review FBISD Board Policy EHDE-Local for more information about altemative methods for eating credit. Also, please remember that permission must be granted via the Clements’ Counseling Office before enrolling in any online, distance, or face-to-face course offered outside Fort Bend ISD and the approved providers previously mentioned.
