Operation Showcase Stage #4– Standardizing
Educate It!
Many times in the work place we clean up the area then we let it get dirtyagain. At this point in Operation Showcase we want to prevent theworkplace from ever becoming disorganized again.. This is probably themost important stage. We must set standards for cleaning and review.By the time we are finished with Operation Showcase we hope to havecleaning standards and maintenance schedules in place so anyone cominginto the are will know what to do and when to do it. A very important part of making standards is to get everyone’s opinion, because it must be the easiest most efficient way or method. If we alldecide on standards together, there will be no problem with everyone doingwhat we have all set up to do.First, let all the concerned people understand completely about the thingwe are deciding on. Tell the reasons why we must keep clean or maintained. Let everyone agree on the best way. Check the method byusing it for a few days to make sure there are no problems. By using thisprocess the people will set up their own rules and everyone will want tofollow them. Having a great organized work space is important to everyoneand keeping it that way takes effort and planning.
