Thank you for writing this! My dad died a few years back, and his name was David, too.
This is really written from the heart ,thank you for sharing this thought,your feelings,this piece of advice and this writing with all of us. Happiness is endless ,it is a feeling inside our soul ,no pain ,no grief can take it away ,cherish your happy moments treasure them inside your heart when feeling lonely close your eyes and have a happy memory back .This helps to carry on in this life ,to help your family and other people. thank you a lot.
Thank you It is rarer these days to find such intimate relation.I am sure your husband has been very lucky to have you beside himself during life journey.Our life is very short compared with life of universe.The death is a reality that each one of us will confront one day ,our life time is just aglimps if you compare it with life of universe.You will be united with him again after this glimps.

What its meant to do is help others face an inevitability in life and get familiar with grief's strange byways. The true gift in all this is the support we recieved during his last few weeks of life. That love and kindness made a truly horrible experience bearable.
Rhonda, thank you. Funny thing is, I can't imagine life without him either. It's an almost surreal experience, going through daily routines and yet still not truly present and accounted for.
