ANGEL Basics 3 – LESSONS – Game creation 

In the lessons tab, click Add Content. You will see something similar to below, click
GAME

Game 

By clicking on GAME you will create a crossword or Jeopardy type puzzle.

It is recommended you go to each tab before pressing save.

1) CONTENT
a. “Title” allows you to
name your game
b. A “Subtitle” is optional; it
can be used to describe
the type of data in this
document
c. “Page Text” lets you
create a description or
directions for the puzzle
2) ACCESS
a. User Tracking: You are
able to track your
student’s usage in
ANGEL (‘are they using
this material and when’)
b. “View Restrictions” allows
you to control who and
when or if students are
able to access course
materials

3) AUTOMATE
a. Lists any
automations/macros
running on this item or
b. Lets you create
automatic actions to take
when this Game is
accessed by the
students
4) ASSIGNMENT

a) Assignment: Choose New


Assignment to create an item in your
gradebook
b) Category: What category is this (in
this example, it is homework)
c) Points Possible: how many points is
this assignment worth?
d) Calculation type: How is the grade
being submitted, are you manually
doing it or is it automatically entered to
the gradebook
e) Display Format: It is recommended
you leave this as “Course Default”

5) Create your game

a) Choose “Crossword” or
“Quiz Show”
b) “Crossword: Type in at
least 5 clues/Answers
c) “Quiz Show” come up
with 1-4 categories and
at least one question per
category, with the $
value and what category
it belongs to.
d) ANGEL does the rest
