On September 15, 2009, BART then submitted an application for a loan from the FTA using stimulus money stating that "The OAC would create approximately 689 direct and indirect jobs during the construction period." THis would be in complete agreement with both thw 2001 EIR and BART's statements to their Board and the Oakland City Council (back in May).
