Welcome to Beech Hill Special School
We are delighted that you have taken thetime and trouble to find out somethingabout our school. All the staff and Governorsat Beech Hill School seek to provide apositive and happy working environmentwhere children are valued for their academicand social worth. Our principal aim is toensure that every child reaches their fullpotential, experiences a broad and balancedcurriculum and is well prepared for the nextstage of their education.We offer a secure and stimulatingenvironment in which teachers are able toteach and students are free to learn. Nothingwill be allowed to interfere with that right tosecure learning. We also offer opportunity -both within the classroom and beyond. Thisopportunity enables students to capitaliseon their many and varied abilities.There is, however, a third ingredient, without which we will certainly fail. Your support foryour child is absolutely vital if genuine success is to be achieved. We need you to becomeinvolved in an education partnership with us. range of experiences.” 
 Our aims are as follows:To ensure that all school experiences are stimulating, enjoyable, relevant and take place in asensitive, secure environment.To provide equal opportunities for all pupils.To give opportunities for all pupils to gain accreditation for all their achievements.To enable the pupils to gain confidence in their abilities and the motivation to extend them.To develop pupils ability in the core areas of literacy, numeracy and ICT.To respect other cultures, religions and the environment.To allow pupils to develop an awareness and recognition of the responsibilities of adult life.We are a small, happy school that creates time for each pupil. Our educational aims are delivered by askilled and committed staff. We feel that each of our pupils can achieve their full potential and leaveschool prepared to take his/her place in an adult society.

Beech Hill is a County Co-Educational Secondary Day School for children with special educational needsfrom 11 years to 16 years of age.
Number of Pupils on Roll
We currently have capacity for 70 pupils on roll from 11
 –
16 years. Our Post-16 group consists of 23former Beech Hill pupils who are now on roll at The Brunts School.
