This study addresses the specific influences of changing energy prices on industry in Colorado. The first section of this study provides an introduction to the theoretical model used and presents the results obtained from its estimation. The second segment looks at the estimated price responsiveness of demand for coal, natural gas, petroleum products, and electricity in the context of the changing structure of the Colorado economy, energy trends in Colorado, and changes in relative energy prices in the state’s industrial sector.
