Apply for Temporary Protected Status!


Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services invites all qualifying Haitian nationals to apply for
Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Please join us at one of our many upcoming weekend workshops
where we will assist Haitians apply for TPS. Our first workshop will be held on

JANUARY 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Catholic Charities

Please bring with you the following documents:

• two color passport-style photographs of yourself


• evidence that you are a Haitian national or a person with no nationality who last habitually
resided in Haiti (such as a copy of your passport or birth certificate)
• evidence that you have continuously resided in the United States since January 12, 2010
• court records on any and all criminal convictions
• three money orders or checks covering the following Citizenship & Immigration Service fees:
 TPS application: $50.00
 Biometrics: $80.00
 Employment Authorization: $340.00 (only needed if you plan to work)
• $25.00 per person or $50.00 per family donation for Catholic Charities

** If you do not know if you qualify for TPS, please come to our workshops where qualified and
competent attorneys will advise you accordingly. For you and your family's well-being, do not seek the
assistance of a "notaire" or someone who is not an attorney or an accredited immigration
representative. Improperly filing a TPS application when you do not qualify for this benefit may result
in placement into removal/deportation proceedings. **
