INTRODUCTION

DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid

molecules, material our genes are made
of, have the potential to perform
calculations many times faster than the
world’s most powerful human built
computers. A computer that uses DNA to
store information and perform complex
calculations is called a DNA computer. It
was in 1994 that University of Southern
California computer scientist Leonard
Adelman suggested that DNA could be
used to solve complex mathematical
problems. While still in their infancy, DNA
computers will be capable of storing billons
STRECTURE OF DNA
HOW DNA CHIPS CAN BE MADE ?

 INITIALLY A THIN
GLASS OR PLASTIC
USED AS SUBSTRATE
OR BASE.

 MAKING USE OF
GENE PROBE THE BASE
PAIRS ARE EXTRACTED
FROM DNA AND BUILT
ON SUBSTRATE BY
PROCESS KNOWN AS
DNA “ORIGAMI”.
ADVANTAGES

 HIGH MEMORY CAPACITY

 HIGH SPEED

 SMALL IN SIZE

 LOW COST

LIGHT WEIGHT

 LOW POWER CONSUMPTION

APPLICATIONS
 IT IS USED IN MANUFACTURING COMPUTER
MEMORY DEVICE.

 IT IS USED IN COMPUTER PROCESSOR.

 IT IS USED IN MOBILE MEMORY MODULES.

CONCLUSION

 AFTERSEEING ALL ADVANTAGES &

APPLICATIONS, FUTURE COMPUTERS
WILL BE MADE OF DNA & PRESENT
DAYS COMPUTERS WILL BE
REPLACED BY DNA COMPUTERS.
