New QC Library: now under construction
The Honorablemayor Feliciano R.Belmonte, Jr., alover of books, had just approved theconstruction of a 7Million 2—StoreyBuilding for a mod-ern Public Library.This coming library,located at QuirinoHighway, Novaliches,is now under con-struction. The CityLibrarian, Ms. Eme-lita L. Villanueva, re-quested the CityPlanning office forthe lay out plan ofthe Library. Thefirst floor shall bethe reference Area,meanwhile the sec-ond floor will be util-ized as an Informa-tion TechnologySection. The goodMayor chose No-valiches as the siteof the soon to riseLibrary because heknew that it wouldbe very useful tothe people consider-ing Novaliches isknown to have alarge population.A manuscript enti-tled: Quezon City, ASaga of ContinuingProgress, was pre-sented to the Hon-orable Mayor Fe-liciano “Sonny” Bel-monte Jr., last Oc-tober 17, 2006. QCPL CONDUCTS “FIRSTSTRATEGIC PLANNING”
A training was under-taken by the Quezon CityPublic Library, and thistraining was held last Octo-ber 19-20 at Villa Lorenza,Barangay Halayhayin, Pililla,Rizal. This strategic planningwas conceived to formulateadequate plans to assiststhe Quezon City Public Li-brary in it's campaign to sig-nificantly strengthen it'sresolve to provide compe-tent, efficient, adequateservices and facilities at alltimes. This training saw theQCPL redirect it's missionto firmly suggests and im-plement an enhanced work-The Quezon City Public Li-brary shall unceasingly taskitself with the horde of pro-grams to administer effi-cient and adequate servicesto address the rising con-cerns of the reading public.The QCPL under it's leader-ship altogether with the un-relenting support of thosedelegated to translate allthese tasks into meaningfulservices to deliver the veryessence of it's commitmentshall always be eager to as-sists everyone. But despite,the constant struggle to im-plement competence, certainelements remain to dis-hearten the imbued obliga-tions of the QCPL. Never-theless, the QCPL finds it-self at the top among allpredicaments, as it is awareto afford competent, effi-cient and adequate servicesat all times.The QCPL under the stew-ardship of the City LibrarianMs. Emelita L. Villanueva,shall at all times certify it'scommitment to serve in theinterests of those who findour services truly significantand discerning.

CongresswomanNannette Castelo Daza issponsoring half a million pe-sos to fund for the completerehabilitation of the dilapi-dated structure of theRoxas Public Library. If oncecompleted, the Roxas PublicLibrary could very well ad-dress the reading and re-search requirements of stu-dents /readers within thecommunity of Roxas Districtand other adjoining baran-gays.
