Department of Conservation and Maine Warden Service

field facilities and the conserved lands of Maine

The state of Maine’s Department of Conservation and Department of Baker Lake Camp
Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, including the warden service, maintain Maine Warden Service, T7 R17
more than 90 structures on sites throughout the state. While some of 1
1
the ranger stations, cabins and outbuildings are quite remote, others 7
are in more heavily visited spots. These buildings aren’t open to 2
8
everyone, but whether you’re a state biologist doing research in the
field, a warden involved in law enforecement or a tourist exploring 26
15
a popular vacation site, these state-owned properties play role in 5
29 31
protecting and managing Maine’s conserved lands. 46 16 GOLDEN
