PSYC 404 Psychophysiology of Emotion

Course Description: This course examines relationships between emotions and bodily responses. The bodily
responses are those that can be recorded from the periphery of the human body. Examples include:
Heart Rate
Blood Pressure

Muscle Tension
Sweat Gland Activity

Brain Waves
Brain Imaging

Lectures, discussions, videos, hands-on demonstrations, and laboratories are used to understand the relationship
between these bodily responses and emotions.
Prerequisites: PSYC 100, PSYC 274, and PSYC 314 or by approval of Professor and Director of Psychology
