Paper factory

Companhia do Papel do Prado was founded on 1716. The company specializes in

the production of cupboards ,dominating local markets in paper synthesis .

Appropriate trees with the fewest possible fibers such as eucalyptus trees are chosen.
Other trees such as oak and pines can be chosen but rarely.

Paper can also be recycled in the specific factory

The factory possesses a lab for chemical control .It is used to control the quality of water used and
the manufacturing process .This is rather important as 70thousands liters of water are used per hour.

The quality of the finished product is also determined. Durability, color

and thickness are some of the aspects tested in the lab of the picture.

About 125 000 tones of paper are produced and packaged

each year. The company exports a fraction of the paper.
